A- In June of 2023, a cutie with a beard got "hacked" on instagram. He of course messaged me and apologized. We messaged back and forth for a few days and then I just ghosted him......

N- I did in fact get hacked one summer..... Addison & I messaged back and forth a little bit and then she just never responded again..... but that wasn't the end.

She liked all my posts and clearly was interested hahah I decided to shoot my shot.

I reached out to a mutual friend & asked about her.

A- Nick reached out to a girl I work with..... we weren't really friends at that point, so it was a little odd. We messaged back and forth a little bit some more and he finally asked me on a date.

N- We had a date planned at restaurant in town and just as I was raised, I told her I would pick her up before hand. She said she was okay and would just meet me there. I should have known that her being 20 minutes late was what I had to look forward to..... but she FINALLY got there & I will never forget seeing her smile in that blue shirt, for the first time.

A- It took some convincing from many people, but I agreed to the date but WOULD NOT let him pick me up! My excuse you ask??? That was a LONG car ride that I was going to have to talk to him. Oh if only I could redo that! So naturally this date was not Church, so of course I was going to be late! I got stuck in traffic and was a tad late. Thank goodness, he didn't leave.

We sat there and talked for over 2 hours and it was the best 2 hours! For some apparent reason I decided to get Nachos & be lady like while eating those.... he still makes fun of me to this day.

After dinner, he walked me to my car and went straight to school where all my friends were at a game, anxiously waiting to hear how it went.

I couldn't stop smiling & I knew that night that I could see myself marrying him one day.

A- We started hanging out a lot more and I could tell something was different about him. I knew he was a good guy because he wanted to make his Faith the center of everything. We found out that we had been going to the same church for a few years & then started going together. This plays an important part in the story later.

N-Being a coach, life is constantly crazy! When I met Addison, we started talking about how her Faith was very important in her life early on and I then started going back to church with her and making it a priority again. I thank God everyday for that!

A- Football season continued and I started going to games and hanging out with his friends. It was tough learning to navigate the coaching world & I still have so much to learn but it was fun along the way!

Another football season had come and gone & it was a beautiful day in February when something crazy happened. Nick was in Hattiesburg recruiting and texted me one afternoon saying that a friend of his asked him if he would ever be interested in coaching at the school he was at..... in Nebraska. I will never forget hearing those words followed by I move in 10 days.

At the time, I did not see good coming out of this for us at all. I had just fallen in love with the most perfect guy, we knew we were going to eventually get married & now he was 13 hours away.

Those months were some of the hardest months of our relationship but I would never wish it away, it made us so much stronger as a couple!

There were many visits & many goodbyes, until I finally moved & we lived in the same city again!!
